As founder of Nerang First National, Mike provided the “essence” from which the incredible culture inside the Nerang First National office has flourished. It’s due to Mike’s vision and his unrelenting pursuit of excellence that Nerang First National is the unique, truly customer-centred organisation it is today.

After retiring from the Australian Regular Army in 1979, Mike immediately commenced his real estate career.
In 1991, after spending many years in residential property estate and various sales roles outside the industry, Mike recognised that the the real estate industry was plagued with a reputation of providing poor service.
He also recognised that the “list and sell everything, anything and anywhere” mentality of agents, rampant in the 80’s and still today, often stretched human resources too thin to allow quality services and skilled professionalism to develop.

With that Mike opened Nerang First National, with the aim of making it a specialist agency that provides a standard of service and communication second-to-none with skilled professionals genuinely committed to making buying and selling a positive experience. And so he did …

Although the company rapidly forged a reputation as the leading agency in the residential region of Nerang and Carrara, it was only the beginning. Mike and the team have continued to lift the performance bar.

So far his confidence is proving true. The company has maintained a growing dominant market share in the broader Nerang and Carrara region with annual sales consistently reaching and exceeding record levels.

Whilst Mike and the team have received dozens of top achievement awards over the years, receiving the state’s highest industry accolade from the Real Estate Institute of Queensland for 5 consecutive years has been the pinnacle in recognition of a genuine effort to be at the forefront of industry excellence and professionalism.

Mike has been a "local" for 20 years in the Nerang area where he lives with his wife and children. Although the family enjoy the beaches, boating and the many Gold Coast attractions, the easy paced lifestyle of Nerang region that makes it their number one choice of places to live.
